The F38 Quick Release Plate features a standard 1/4" screw for attaching to your camera's tripod socket. Ensure the screw is tightened securely to prevent any movement.

2.2 Attaching the F38 Clip to a Backpack Strap or Belt

The F38 clip is designed to securely attach to backpack straps or belts. It features a flexible structure and adjustable gears to fit various strap thicknesses.

1. Open the F38 clip by pressing the release button and unfolding it.
2. Position the clip on your backpack strap or belt. The clip is compatible with straps up to 8 cm (3.15 inches) wide and 2 cm (0.79 inches) thick.
3. Adjust the three gear options to match your strap's thickness (2mm-20mm) for a snug fit.
4. Close the clip until it locks securely. The arc-shaped thermoplastic back panel will conform to the strap for comfort.

3.1 Mounting and Dismounting Your Camera

1. To mount your camera: Align the quick release plate (attached to your camera) with the F38 clip on your backpack. Slide the camera downwards into the clip until it clicks and locks into place. The system is designed for self-locking.
2. To dismount your camera: Press the release button on the F38 clip and slide the camera upwards to remove it.

3.2 Using the Safety Lock

The F38 clip includes a safety device to prevent accidental release. This is particularly useful during active movements like hiking or climbing.

• To engage the safety lock: Push the small button on the side of the release mechanism downwards into the locked mode (indicated by a lock icon). This will prevent the main release button from being pressed.
• To disengage the safety lock: Push the small button upwards to unlock the main release button.

• Difficulty attaching/detaching camera: Ensure the safety lock is disengaged. Check for any obstructions or debris in the quick release mechanism.
• Sharp edges on the plate: Some users have noted that the threads on the bottom of the plate can be sharp. Exercise caution when handling to avoid cuts.
